At Mindful Child, we give children the opportunity to practice these natural stress relief activities through aerial yoga and mindfulness. Moving in the aerial hammocks is fun and inspires play. Play is a an important self-care technique for children. Play is an essential part of overall wellness and happiness for not only children, but adults as well.
The hammock encourages all kinds of movement, including cross-lateral movement, which is fundamental for learning. When arms and legs cross the body’s midline, both sides of the body are forced to communicate. This results in integration of both sides of the brain, which, in turn, improves learning.
