-
- Conditions Treated: These therapies are beneficial for managing anxiety, ADHD, depression, motor coordination, reflex integration, sensory processing and more.
- Mechanism of Action: Mind-body techniques work by shifting the body’s nervous system from a stressed “fight, flight, or freeze” response to a calm, parasympathetic state.
- Implementation: Our mind-body tools can be easily integrated into daily routines, school day, or professional therapy settings, typically with high engagement from children.
- Parent Involvement: Active parent participation is often crucial for co-regulation, as it helps children learn to effectively manage their emotions and behaviors.

What to Expect From
Mind-Body Therapy for Kids in Kansas City
1
Find Your Fit
Sign up for a trial class and Dr. Tracy can determine which service is the best fit for your child. If they require private sessions or small group therapy, we’ll then schedule an assessment.
2
Attend Therapy
Once the assessment is completed, your child will attend a weekly private session or therapy group. Our evidence-based approach addresses a variety of conditions, including autism, anxiety, depression, motor delays, ADD/ADHD, developmental delays, and neurological conditions using the aerial hammock as a therapy prop.
3
See the Difference
Research shows that in 8-weeks, with consistent practice, you’ll notice a difference in the way your child interacts and regulates their emotions. Your child’s regulation skills will continue to develop with practice, which is why we recommend a home education plan to practice mindfulness strategies when your child is happy and calm.

Helpful Tips
- How do I know if my child might need therapy?
-
If you notice that your child has trouble interacting with others or managing their emotions, or that they might have developmental delays, then mind-body therapy for kids may be a good fit for them. However, each child is different, so we recommend a trial class or signing up for an initial assessment to see if it’s a good fit.
- If my child has special needs, can they enroll in aerial yoga classes, too?
-
There are certain behavioral objectives that a child has to meet for an large aerial yoga class so that every student and staff member can have a safe and beneficial experience. Assessments can be booked online or by messaging us. Once your appointment is received and reviewed, we will contact you via e-mail to move forward with the assessment.
