Elevate your child’s well-being with Aerial Yoga
Group Therapy for Kids in Kansas City enhances emotional regulation, coping skills and motor control.
Our licensed therapists facilitate small group therapy with kids using the aerial hammock as a therapeutic prop. Aerial yoga fosters social connections among children. Participating in group therapy allows kids to interact with their peers, share experiences, and support one another in their practice. This social aspect can enhance their sense of belonging and teamwork, as they learn to encourage each other while navigating the challenges of aerial poses. Building friendships in a supportive environment not only makes the practice more enjoyable but also contributes to their overall emotional well-being.
Group therapy for kids helps them learn the necessary motor, sensory, and behavioral skills to handle whatever obstacles life throws their way!

Helpful Tips
- How do I know if my child might need occupational therapy?
-
If you notice that your child has trouble interacting with others or managing their emotions, or that they might have developmental delays, then group therapy for kids may be a good fit for them. However, each child is different, so we recommend a trial class or signing up for an initial assessment to see if it’s a good fit.
- If my child has special needs, can they enroll in aerial yoga classes, too?
-
There are certain behavioral objectives that a child has to meet for an large aerial yoga class so that every student and staff member can have a safe and beneficial experience. Depending on your child’s special needs, they may need small group therapy for kids until their behavior meets the required expectations to attend a larger group setting without support.
- What is the initial assessment process like?
-
The initial assessment is conducted in a play-based manner, incorporating tools like the aerial hammock and an obstacle course
We test the following:
-
- Primitive Reflexes
- Sensory Processing
- Executive Functioning
- Problem Behaviors
- Adaptive Skills
- Motor Planning
- Strength
- Gravitational Insecurity
- Visual Tracking
Assessments are booked online. Once your appointment is received and reviewed, we will contact you via e-mail to move forward with the assessment. It will be a comprehensive evaluation consisting of standardized testing, observations, reflex evaluation, and parent-report measures. A meeting is scheduled afterward for a complete review of our findings.
