Good to Know
Our waiting room is closed. Please wait in your car and one of our staff members will take your child’s temperature, do a health questionnaire, and escort your child into the studio. Once in the studio your child will wash their hands. We will be social distancing and have reduced the number of children in each class and camp. Additionally, hammocks are washed after each use. Please do not bring your child if they have a fever, cough, or have been exposed to COVID as we will not allow them in the studio. We will work with you to make-up the classes missed as best we can. Children over age five must wear masks.
Mindful Child Aerial Yoga will be closed on the following days due to Holidays. There will be no regularly scheduled classes on the following days:
- Memorial Day
- July 4th
- Labor Day
- November 23rd-26th
- December 23rd-26th
- New Years Eve and New Years Day
We are in session all other dates for regularly scheduled classes and appointments unless specified above.
Please bring a water bottle. There’s no need to bring a yoga mat. We practice on padded yoga flooring.
PLEASE, REMOVE JEWELRY! Stud earrings are okay. Come dressed in comfortable clothing free of snaps, zips or exposed buckles that could snag the hammock fabric. We will practice yoga barefoot so all shoes and socks will be dropped at the door.
WEAR LEGGINGS OR PANTS! It is highly recommended that kids wear leggings or pants to protect their skin as they move in the yoga fabric. When they do poses in the fabric with short shorts or leotards, it may be uncomfortable and limit participation. Loose and comfortable cotton pants, yoga pants or leggings are perfect!
Policies
(please read before registering)
Mindful Child Aerial Yoga does NOT offer make-up classes. It is highly encouraged that students attend all classes. However, we keep classes small enough so that we can always catch kids up if they have missed a class.
Mindful Child Aerial Yoga has a NO refund policy. Your child’s registration holds a spot in our classes/camps/private sessions with limited space/hammocks. Deposits are always non-refundable, as they pay for registration, supplies and payroll. Once you register for a program, we commit to supporting your child through the entire semester, and we want our families to return that commitment. We also teach in a way that supports research-based social and emotional learning.
We only offer drop-ins select times of the year. If you are unsure if you’d like to sign up for our classes, please e-mail info@mindfulchildaerialyoga.com and we will arrange a drop-in if there is space.
Behavior and character trait expectations:
Students are expected to adhere to the following character traits:
1). Be mindful of yourself and those around you.
2). Be kind and respectful to yourself, to others in the classroom, and to the instructors.
3). Be willing to try, learn and create new things each class.
4). Follow safety instructions.
5). Stay on task during class lessons.
6). Avoid distracting others during meditation/relaxation.
*If a child is unable to meet these expectations in a group setting, you have the option of enrolling in private sessions in preparation for group work or enrolling in the support program for an additional $180/semester, which assigns an additional helper to support your child’s individual needs in class. Mindful Child Aerial Yoga reserves the right to remove or transfer a child that is unable to meet the above expectations to ensure safety of all children and to honor the time and practice of all enrolled.
Due to liability issues we cannot have parents or siblings in the studio during sessions. We have a live video feed that parents may watch in the reception area and a 10 minute presentation the last day of our aerial class sessions in which parents may enter the studio and watch a short aerial presentation.
Mindful Child Aerial Yoga requires that all children be registered and prepayment online is required before they can attend classes. We limit our classes to 9 children and we cannot take payments right before class as it takes time away from our students.
