About Radiant Child Yoga (RCY)
The vision of Radiant Child is to create a world of peace through the union of yoga and children. The Radiant Child is the child who is self-aware, who honors the spirit of all, and is naturally dedicated to creating a world of peace. Yoga is a holistic, practical tool toward that end.
RCY was founded by Shakta Khalsa, E-RYT 500, AMS Montessori educator, and published author, an internationally recognized teacher of yoga for both adults and children, having taught extensively at conferences and gatherings for over four decades. As one of the leading founders of the children’s movement, Shakta developed the Radiant Child Yoga training program in 1999. Since that time, she has training a select few RCY Facilitators (including Dr. Tracy), who along with Shakta, have taught thousands of yoga teachers, school teachers, therapists, parents and grandparents in the art of children’s yoga.
